Frequently asked questions

The residences are all located in Collier County in quiet safe residential neighborhoods. We purposely do not publish the addresses of our residences to protect the privacy of our residents

Our homes provide a safe sanctuary for our residents. Members of our staff perform frequent house checks to ensure that the proper safety, well-being, and health of our members are at the highest standards. Naples Recovery is well known and respected by local law enforcement and municipalities

We are sensitive to each members’s background, motivations, and unique life struggles. We customize each member’s experience, within a well-defined structure that is built upon successful recovery principles.

Yes. Naples Recovery  is firmly founded in the principles of the 12 step recovery philosophy pioneered by  Alcoholics Anonymous.  It has worked miracles for our founder, Philip Huml, and is the gold standard for recovery programs across an entire spectrum of addictions. If you have a strong hesitancy about embracing the 12 steps, we are not the right program for you. If you are new to the 12 steps and can’t quite understand how they transform lives, we will help you get there. You just need to commit to the process.

Accountability is a critical component to recovery and we work with you to establish your own rules. Adhering to them is a big thing to us, to our other members, and to yourself. If you make a promise whether it is to be home by 10 PM each night, stick to your workout regimen, or improve your relationship with a housemate, we expect you to fulfill it, to be a person of your word.

We welcome family! Addiction is a disease that affects the entire family. We work with parents and other family members on establishing healthy boundaries and developing other skills to aid themselves and their loved one in recovery.

“Coachability“ is a must. We work hard to curate a community of members who put their faith in us and are committed to following our recommendations. In order for our program to be effective, you must be willing to say you need help and be open to our guidance. Following our coaching greatly increases your chances of achieving long-term sobriety.

Alumni stay involved. We encourage alumni to have a regular presence at Naples Recovery, as we consider them part of our extended family. They can call on their personal experiences to help members in recovery, which is a powerful tool for maintaining their own sobriety.
